Royal Aqua Master "Large Circle" label
The point of this info guide is to explain that over time, Aqua Lung / U.S. Divers Corp has changed internal parts, and while some of these parts are being re-produced, not all. And due to vintage regulators coming out of garages, barns, eWhore sales, or from your late uncle Ed who used to dive in the 1960 - nobody can guarantee you what internal parts that you have in front of you. I have seen far too many cases where a regulator has been changed from factory by an number or reasons; intentional, un-intentional, or some jerk selling a complete regulator that is wrong?
A case in point is the Royal Aqua Master 1046 came out originally with a [ 12345 ] rectangular label and then it changed to a Large Circle Decal label. You need to read through as many factory service manuals as you can to find one that shows the earlier version, and non that i have found show a *Service bulletin to notify service technician that there is a part change. Since the HP seats look identical form the outside, you will not know until you insert the pin into the seat. If you install the wrong HP seat with the wrong pin, then you will not get the pin-pad to engage with the diaphragm, no push - no air flow.
Please consult your AL professional regulator service technician or service manual for proper part number to compare.
